Meet Gwen, a delicate, gentle girl who is slowly discovering that the world isn’t so scary after all. She may start off very timid and skittish, often barking when she’s unsure, but with patience and kindness, she begins to come out of her shell — and it’s beautiful to watch.
Gwen loves sleeping on the couch, quietly observing her surroundings, and taking comfort in the presence of calm, friendly dogs. She’s a soft soul who just needs time, reassurance, and a peaceful environment to truly shine.
Very timid at first: She may bark or retreat when nervous, but she’s trying hard and making progress every day.
Dog and cat friendly: Gwen shows no reaction to cats and even wants to play with Harley, the resident cockapoo.
Low energy: She’s a calm, quiet companion who prefers cozy lounging to high‑energy play.
Gentle: Her sweetness is unmistakable — she’s soft, careful, and kind in everything she does.
Crate trained: She will sleep in her crate at bedtime, though she prefers not to be in it during the day.
House training: Still a work in progress, but improving with routine and patience.
Commands: Not yet — she’s still learning the basics.
Leash training: Not started, but her gentle nature suggests she’ll do well with slow, positive introductions.
Gwen would thrive in a quiet, patient home that understands timid dogs and can give her the time she needs to feel safe. A friendly resident dog could help her build confidence, and a calm environment will help her continue to blossom.
She may start off shy, but once she trusts you, her gentle heart shines through — and she becomes a truly special companion.
