Meet Abby
Abby is a 9-year-old Beagle Terrier mix with the sweetest little face and an even sweeter personality. Through everything life has thrown at her lately, she continues to wag her tail, soak up affection, and hand out gentle kisses like they’re going out of style.
Since coming into our care, Abby has been through more than any dog should have to endure in such a short time. She arrived pregnant, sadly lost her puppy, and then required emergency surgery which also included the removal of three mammary tumors. Through it all, Abby has remained incredibly loving, resilient, and eager to be close to her people.
This lovely senior girl is happiest curled up beside you for snuggles or heading out for a nice walk. Abby is fantastic on leash and truly enjoys getting out to explore the world at her own pace. She is mostly house trained, with only the occasional accident which we believe is related to the stress and adjustment of moving into a new foster home and environment.
Abby would likely do best as the only dog in the home.
Abby also experienced a rare case of gestational diabetes during her pregnancy, but her sugars now appear to be well controlled and back to normal.
She’s a sweet older girl looking for a soft place to land and a family who will give her the love and comfort she deserves after everything she’s been through. Abby has a way of quietly stealing hearts with her cuddles, happy little tail wags, and loving kisses.
