Meet Benjamin, known as Benny — a gentle, good‑natured pup with a calm spirit and a heart full of affection. He’s the quieter half of his duo with Lt. Dan, often following his brother’s lead as they explore the yard or curl up for a nap. Benny is a chill, easygoing little guy who brings a peaceful, loving presence to any home.

Personality & Home Life

• Shy at first but warms quickly: Benny may take a moment to assess new people, but once he feels safe, he becomes a total snuggle bug who loves being close.
• Playful but balanced: He enjoys chasing his brother around the yard, but he’s also a big fan of naps and quiet time. His energy level is moderate.
• Dog‑friendly: Benny respects the resident dog’s space and follows their lead beautifully.
• Cat‑curious: He’s just starting to notice the resident cat — curious but not pushy or aggressive.
• Follower by nature: He looks to Lt. Dan and the resident dog for cues, making him an easy companion in a multi‑dog home.

Training & Skills

• Crate trained: Benny goes straight into his crate after coming inside and settles instantly. At night, a light sheet over the crate helps him sleep soundly until morning.
• House training: A work in progress but improving every day with consistency.
• Commands: He knows sit, stay, and shake a paw.
• Leash training: Not started yet, but he’s food‑motivated and eager to please.
• Motivated by: Food — treats make training fun and effective.

Ideal Home

Benny would thrive in a loving, patient home that appreciates a sweet, gentle pup who blossoms with reassurance. He would do well with another friendly dog, and he’s adaptable to many home environments. His affectionate, friendly nature makes him a wonderful companion for families, couples, or individuals looking for a cuddly, easygoing friend. He would benefit from an obedience class to help him continue building confidence and good manners.
