This lovely 5‑year‑old Poodle–Bichon mix who we call Pearl came to us after retiring from a breeding program and is now learning what it means to be someone’s cherished companion.
She’s a gentle soul who loves to say hello and cuddle close, though she’s still learning that hands can be kind. At this stage, she prefers affection on her terms and will need a patient, understanding adopter who’s happy to let trust grow naturally. With time, she continues to come out of her shell more each day.
She loves going for walks, especially in familiar areas, and happily follows her foster around the house, content just to be near her person. At home, she’s a wonderful house guest—fully house‑trained with no accidents and does very well with free access to the home. She also does great in a crate and finds comfort in having that safe space.
She gets along beautifully with the resident cat and genuinely enjoys the cat’s company, often choosing to relax nearby. She does best with calm, well‑mannered dogs and may feel overwhelmed if rambunctious dogs get too close, so a quieter canine friend—or being the only dog—would suit her best.
This sweet girl is looking for a calm, loving home where patience and kindness come first. In return, she’ll offer soft companionship, loyal presence, and the joy of watching her confidence bloom.
