Meet Nebula — “Nebby” for short!
Nebby landed at Helping Paws just as a spaceship launched overhead—so of course, a space-themed name was a must!
This adorable girl is believed to be a Jack Russell Terrier x Cattle Dog mix, born October 20, 2025. She’s got the brains, energy, and charm you’d expect from that combo!
About Nebby:
Responds well to her name (especially if snacks are involved )
Knows how to sit and is learning to wait patiently
Working hard on keeping all four paws on the ground when excited
Doing great with house training and crate training
Leash walking is coming along nicely—she does best solo, as she’d rather play with doggy friends than focus on walking when they’re around.
Cats & Other Animals:
Nebby is curious about cats! Her foster home has dog-savvy kitties who tolerate—and even play with—her. She may give chase (because… puppy!), but she’s learning “leave it” and improving every day.
Learning & Personality:
Like many young pups, Nebby can be a little unsure in new situations and may yelp or bark—but once she understands things, she adjusts quickly. She’s a smart, resilient girl and a fast learner!
She’s also your classic happy-go-lucky puppy—full of zoomies, curiosity, and love! Currently in her teething stage, she’s a big fan of bones and chew toys to keep her busy.

Her Ideal Home:
Nebby would thrive in an active home that understands her breeds’ energy and intelligence. She’d be an amazing candidate for dog sports or advanced training once she’s got her basics and socialization down.
If you're looking for a fun, energetic, and lovable companion to grow and learn with—Nebby might just be your perfect match!
