Meet Ollie, the almost 2-year-old Shih Tzu who still fully believes he’s a puppy—and honestly, it just makes him even more lovable.
Ollie is a playful, spunky little guy with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. He loves to run, romp, and get into adorable mischief. Whether he’s chasing his own shadow during a zoomie session, following you from room to room, or hopping up onto the couch (or bed… or coffee table) just to make sure you notice him, Ollie is always bringing the entertainment.
He’s currently recovering from his neuter—something he’s very unsure about. In true Ollie fashion, he can’t quite understand why he’s supposed to slow down. But with time and patience, he’s healing up just fine.
Ollie enjoys playing with other dogs, though sometimes his enthusiasm is a little extra, and his doggy friends will give him a gentle reminder to dial it back. He listens well and takes those corrections in stride.
Crate time? Well… he’ll go in, he’ll settle, but he’ll definitely tell you his thoughts about it first. Grooming is also a work in progress, but with continued practice and positive experiences, we’re confident he’ll improve.
On walks, Ollie is a happy little zigzag machine—so much to explore, so little time! He’s learning quickly and doing great. The only thing he’s not sure about? Fire hydrants. Those things are suspicious, and he prefers to keep a safe distance.
With a medium energy level, lots of silliness, and a heart full of love, Ollie is the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a playful, quirky, loyal little shadow.
If you’re ready for a life filled with laughs, cuddles, and Ollie-shaped joy, this silly sweetheart can’t wait to meet you!
Ollie‘s adoption fee is $850 which includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, heartworm/flea/tick prevention, deworming and complete that check. If you are interested in adopting Ollie, please fill out our adoption application on our website www.helpingpawsrescue.ca.
