Meet Monica known as Pepper by her new foster family. Pepper is new intake who will be ready for adoption after her vetting and spay is complete.
Pepper is still learning that the world is a safe place. She sleeps soundly in her crate all night and is working on feeling just as comfortable with daytime crate time. She hasn’t had any accidents in the house, though she’s still figuring out when it’s okay to go outside — she’s trying hard and just needs a bit more confidence.
This sensitive pup startles easily and tends to jump at new sounds. She feels most secure when her people are in front of her where she can clearly see them, and she prefers when you come down to her level for pets and reassurance. For now, Pepper has been quietly sitting back and watching, taking everything in with thoughtful curiosity as she adjusts to her new world.
Pepper is good with cats — she walks past them without much notice. With patience, routine, and gentle encouragement, she’ll continue to grow into a confident, loving companion.
